Daniel Ahasic — Illinois Firefighter and Paramedic

Daniel Ahasic is an experienced firefighter who has worked in the industry for more than two decades. Since beginning his career as a firefighter in 2001, he has continued to develop the skills necessary for a lifelong career in firefighting. Since 2004, Daniel Ahasic has been with the Aurora Fire Department as a paramedic and firefighter.

In his time with the Aurora Fire Department, Daniel Ahasic has served as a member of both the paramedic technical rescue and hazmat teams. In addition to these roles, he is an arson investigator and once received an award for firefighter of the year. As a professional firefighter, he continues to participate in drills and training that cover a variety of special issues, including disaster response, specialized rescue, firefighting, and emergency medical care.

He regularly donates blood and is a frequent volunteer with the American Red Cross, local church and the Wayside Cross organization.
